Right before the 239th Day of Independence, CGP Grey, whose videos are amazing at explaining everything, released this really good explanation of the composition of the United States, including the often forgotten territories. We particularly like the statement at marker 5:16 in the video.
Really a great explanation of Puerto Rico’s situation awkward situation, especially the mention of how Americans living abroad can vote for the presidency and have voting representation in Congress, while Americans living in America, just in a territory, cannot.
