Over at Tumblr, Soy Patria takes a different approach to analyzing the situation of Pue-er-Scotland. You see, it occurred to some that the debate that Puerto Rico faces in terms of its status is similar to that of Scotland, which votes soon on whether to declare independence from the United Kingdom.

From the post (in Spanish):

“¿Por qué se enfoca el debate en estos dos locos? ¡Hay muchas más opciones aparte de unión y separación! Por ejemplo, si se están peleando por el Servicio Nacional de Salud (NHS, en inglés) que provee el Reino Unido…¿por qué no se declaran independientes y le exigen al Parlamento que mantengan el programa friofcharch?” – preguntó uno.

“¿Por qué uno y no el otro? ¡Por qué no las dos! ¿Por qué no una ‘Escocia Libre Soberana Asociada Pero De Lejito’?” – añadió otro.
