The New York State Judicial Institute will be hosting a hybrid panel discussion on the Insular Cases on September 16, 2022, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. The event is part of The Judicial Institute’s Hispanic Heritage Month Program and is entitled ‘Insular Cases: A discussion on US v. Vaello-Madero and beyond.
Panelists include Natalie Gomez-Velez, Esq, Professor at CUNY Law, Hermann Ferre, Esq, Partner at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, and the Honorable Walter Rivera, from the Court of Claims and President of the Latino Judges Association will be moderating.
Special Guests include Music by Latin Jazz Flutist, Carlos Jimenez, and a Novel Excerpt Reading by the Honorable Jose O. Castaneda.
CLE Credit will be provided to participants, who may choose to attend in person or virtually through Microsoft Teams. All participants must register for the limited space available.
