Guam celebrates the holidays

It is officially the holiday season and Guam is killing it in holiday festivities. On December 5 the Governor’s Holiday Light Festival officially began. This festival attracts people from all around the island, and has a wide variety of activities to do. 

The holiday festivities kicked into gear with a performance from The Pacific Brass US Air Force Band of the Pacific, this performance was followed by the lighting ceremony, which was held at the Guam Museum outdoor stage. Event festivities don’t stop here throughout the month of December activities will include concerts and performances, a parade, and movies. 

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero (D) expresses great excitement in her released statements,

 “On behalf of our administration, we are happy to invite families, friends and our island community to our annual Holiday Light Festival,” Governor Guerrero stated. “In honor of the enduring resilience and hope our people have shown, we’ve created a holiday display for everyone to enjoy.”

The holiday season is here the Light Festival is a fantastic way to celebrate. Listed below are activities the Light show is hosting.

December 17

6 pm, illustrator award ceremony, outdoor stage
