Guam nonprofits benefit from Prestige Automobiles donations

As spring rolls in, so does generosity. A business in Guam known as Prestige Automobiles has made a generous donation to three non-profits in the community.

Instead of using such funds for personal use or business endeavors, the business has worked to provide the community with these funds by donating them to local organizations that are involved and interactive with the citizens of Guam. Each nonprofit organization involved will receive a $5,000 donation to support their cause. The three organizations included in the 30th Anniversary celebration are Guam Animals in Need, Sanctuary Incorporated of Guam, and Guam Cancer Care. 

Guam Animals in Need, also known as GAIN, is a very important organization in Guam. GAIN is the only animal shelter on the island and is “dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals and to the education of the public concerning matters pertaining to animals and their welfare.” This money will help the shelter continue the care they provide to animals.

Sanctuary Incorporated of Guam was also a recipient of Prestige Automobiles’ donated funds. This non-profit is a vital piece of the community; this is because they provide social services to youth and families. The organization’s direct mission and goal is to “improve the quality of life for Guam’s youth to promote reconciliation during times of family conflicts, to foster the development of responsible community members, and to advocate for their needs in an effort to preserve family unity by providing: 24-hour crisis intervention services, a temporary safe refuge during family conflicts and abuse, supportive counseling for youth and families, outreach, education, and prevention programs.”

Guam Cancer Care is the third non-profit that has received a tremendous donation. The money will help them to reach their goal of bridging the gaps in services of local cancer patients by providing direct services to these patients. Their work is integral to ensuring cancer patients have proper access to necessary treatments.

Prestige Automobiles raised all of these funds by hosting a Give Back Drive Event. During the event, a portion of the sale of every vehicle was donated to the organizations. These generous contributions will help the non-profits with their community efforts and increase their reach.
