Google Trends in the US territories: January 2025

by | Feb 12, 2025 | Data, Google Trends in the Territories | 0 comments

Welcome back to our monthly series examining the top Google Trends in Puerto Rico, Guam, the United States Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Trends data is an unbiased sample of Google search data. It’s anonymized (no one is personally identified), categorized (determining the topic for a search query), and aggregated (grouped together). Each month we’ll collect the top topics from Google so you can dig in deeper and learn more about each topic and the levels of interest over time. We will also mention the top rising topics, which are those with the biggest increase in search frequency since the last time period.

This month, we’ve changed our layout to help you compare between rising and top topics in each territory, while also including this graph to compare interest in each territory through the month in the 50 states.

Puerto Rico

Guam

US Virgin Islands

American Samoa

Northern Mariana Islands

New president, natural disasters, bans, and music: 2025 is off to an intense start according to Google searches in the US unincorporated territories.
