Postponed till Friday
The new president is moving forward on his walls, blocking refugees, punishing sanctuary cities and racist Islamophobic policies. A coalition of human rights groups are calling on people of conscious to take part in this rally/march and contact legislators to resist fear and hate mongering policies and rhetoric.
Sponsored by:
– Cleveland Jobs with Justice
– Dream Activist Ohio
– Greater Cleveland Immigrant Support Network
– The Interreligious Task Force on Central America and Columbia
– Lorain Ohio Immigrant Rights Association
– Ohio’s Voices and others
After the rally take a few minutes to go to Senator Rob Portman’s and Senator Sherrod Brown’s office and:
1) Ask him what his position is on blocking refugees
2) Demand they start or continue to oppose Trump’s racist ban on refugees
If you don’t have time Monday, take a few minutes during lunch or a weekday off. Stop in, no appointment needed, and tell Portman what you think about what Trump’s doing to immigrants and sanctuary cities. These are human lives in the balance.
