Join us as Iowa City rallies together to show we are united in strong solidarity against the recent ban on immigrants and refugees from seven predominantly Muslim countries.
The rally will begin at 1 PM with speeches by Mayor Throgmorton, religious leaders, members of the Sudanese community, high school activists, and others. There will also be music by Sudanese singers, Iris DeMent and Greg Brown.
Following the rally, high school students from City and West High will lead us in a march against hate and discrimination.
Organized by: the Muslim-Jewish Solidarity Alliance, the Center for Worker Justice, and Students Against Hate & Discrimination
