Jasmine Camacho-Quinn set a record in the women’s 100m hurdles semifinals with a time of 12.26 seconds. 

Guam begins to lift COVID restrictions 

Since Friday, Guam has had zero restrictions on social gatherings and social distancing, except for in schools. This has led to mixed reactions from residents of Guam. 

COVID numbers climbing in the US Virgin Islands

There are currently 208 cases of COVID in the US Virgin Islands. Mask use is still required, territory-wide. 

The Northern Mariana Islands may legalize recreational cannabis use

If Governor Ralph Torres signs the bill, then the recreational use of cannabis will become legal in the Northern Mariana Islands. Legalizing the bill would likely lead to job growth and an increase in tax revenue. 

The American Samoa Teacher of the Year experiences racism in Alabama 

American Samoa Teacher of the Year, Sabrina Suluai-Mahuka, was invited, alongs with other Teachers of the Year, to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. However, at the Huntsville airport she was denied hotel accommodations, while white colleagues were not.
