American Samoa relies on coral reef protection program as the climate crisis continues

America Samoa is home to large coral reefs that protect the residents from powerful ocean currents that can cause flooding on the islands. However, with climate change making a negative impact on the size of these reefs, the islands must rely on their coral reef protection program to combat the effects of climate change. 

US Virgin Islands returns to pre-Covid travel requirements

With a decreasing amount of COVID-19 cases, the US Virgin Islands lifted travel restrictions and regulations that were put into place due to the pandemic. 

Guam’s solar-plus-storage project has been canceled

ENGIE, which previously had plans to develop a large-scale solar-plug-storage project in Guam, has pulled out of the contract. 

A former governor of Puerto Rico was arrested

Former Governor Wanda Vasquez (NPP, R) was arrested and accused of accepting bribes from a campaign donor while in office. 

Northern Mariana Islands Football Association sends local teams to camps overseas. 

The Northern Mariana Islands Football Association barely had the chance to send local teams to compete abroad since the pandemic. They just recently sent two teams to a camp in the Philippines.
