A nonpartisan election
American Samoa’s elections are nonpartisan: party labels don’t appear on the ballot, and candidates run as individuals. On November 3, 2026, voters choose a delegate to the US House and all 20 elected seats in the American Samoa House of Representatives, both for two-year terms.
The territory’s 18 senators aren’t on the ballot; county councils choose them under Samoan custom. The governor’s office is next up in 2028.
