Americans of Conscience Checklist is hosting a two-part live class for activists focused on sustaining long-term engagement in social justice work.
The workshop, titled Ritual, Creativity, and Commitment, will be held on February 19 and February 26, 2026, and will be led by Omkari Williams, author of Micro Activism: How You Can Make a Difference in the World (Without a Bullhorn), alongside Jen Hofmann.
The class is designed for activists and advocates who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or stretched thin by the demands of social change work. Organizers describe the program as an opportunity to build a personalized strategy for sustained engagement without sacrificing well-being.
According to the course description, participants will develop tools to prevent burnout, clarify their sense of purpose, and create a practical plan for ongoing activism grounded in three elements: ritual, creativity, and commitment. The framework emphasizes building “gentle structures” aligned with participants’ personalities, real-world constraints, and core values.
The sessions will be held live on Zoom for 90 minutes each, beginning at 1 p.m. Eastern time. Closed captioning will be available, and recordings, transcripts, and worksheets will be provided.
Organizers say the class is intended for individuals who want a sustainable approach to contributing to change, particularly those balancing activism with work, family responsibilities, or creative pursuits.
Fees operate on an ethical pricing model. The suggested rate is $45, with a $25 support rate and a $60 supporter rate. Participants may enter a custom amount, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Organizers also encourage Japanese American, Indigenous, and Black participants to attend at no cost as a gesture of reparation.
The program is part of the Americans of Conscience Checklist’s ongoing efforts to provide resources and tools for civic engagement and advocacy.
