Turn summer talk into action at the August primary

Summer is here. The Primary Election is just a few months away. With time at the barbecue or the beach or doing both, talk of the Guam Election Cycle is happening all over the island. Talk about the elections is helpful. We should push back on the idea that voting or registering to vote gets you a one-way ticket to the next jury duty date at the Guam Judicial Center. The vote is such an important obligation we have as eligible residents of Guam and the United States of America. Summer talk can come with a late summer action in August by casting a vote in the Primary Election.

Nearly 40 years ago, the 40th President of the United States urged Americans to get out and vote, saying, “Voting is a precious right that for two centuries Americans have fought and died to protect. Let’s all honor that sacrifice this election day.” President Ronald Reagan’s words continue to inspire generations of Americans to exercise this important right.

We all should turn talk into action and vote on August 1, 2026. Vote for candidates who know that the cost of living is the number one issue facing island residents. Vote for candidates whose actions and experiences are focused on the whole Guam economy and creating jobs at every level of the private sector, and not just the public sector. Vote for candidates who want to improve healthcare on Guam instead of perpetuating sick care that has hurt our island more than helped.

Vote in the Guam Primary and in the November 3, 2026, General Election and give honor for what matters the most to all the people of Guam.
