On March 20, 1967, President Lyndon B. Johnson visited Guam for a conference on the Vietnam War with the leaders of South Vietnam, Chairman Nguyen Van Thieu and Prime Minister Nguyen Cao Ky. The conference did not yield any significant changes for the war.
