On February 20, the Ratification Act of 1929 was enacted to authorize the ratification of the Treaty of Cession of Tutuila of 1900 and the Treaty of Cession of Manu’a of 1904, which ceded the islands of Tutuila and Manu’a to form American Samoa.

William-José Vélez González is a native from Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, and a graduate from Florida International University in biomedical engineering, engineering management, with a minor in international relations.
