DEMOCRATS’ $3 TRILLION OPENING BID FOR THE NEXT STIMULUS PACKAGE

House Democrats have released a bill to bolster governments, increase widespread testing, extend unemployment insurance, and expand vote-by-mail ahead of the November election. The bill contains $20 billion for territories like Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. But while this bill is Democrats’ opening salvo, they still need to negotiate with Republicans.
