Pasquines is opening its 2026 Elections Territorial Poll to residents of the five inhabited United States territories: Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. The poll is open through October 28, 2026, ahead of the November 3, 2026, general elections in four of the territories.
WHAT THE POLL COVERS
Residents are asked about the territory-wide races on their ballots:
- Guam: governor and lieutenant governor, delegate to the US House, and attorney general
- US Virgin Islands: governor and lieutenant governor, and delegate to the US House
- Northern Mariana Islands: governor and lieutenant governor, delegate to the US House, and attorney general
- American Samoa: delegate to the US House
Puerto Rico’s next general election is in 2028, so residents of the islands are asked about their 2024 vote, their party affiliation, and their views of current officials. Respondents in all five territories are also asked about their political status preferences, their views of local and national figures, and how they find civic information in their communities.
At the end of the poll, respondents can also sign up to be considered for Terristories, an upcoming Pasquines series that will follow one resident from each territory for a year.
